PhD position. Supervisors: Dr Anders Tengberg and Prof. Per Hall. Host: Göteborg University.

With planar optodes it is possible to obtain photos of the oxygen distribution at micrometer  scale for example at the sediment water interface. For in-situ use these systems need a considerable amount of improvement including better absolute accuracy, better temperature compensation, faster response time and better image treatment. This PhD project will focus on updating the existing systems with regard to the listed weaknesses and to use the updated equipment to study exchange processes at the interface between water and atmosphere.
